i'm thinking to buy Electric Fireplaces and i want to have LCD TV on top of it, but i'm not sure what will happen to LCD if it hits up a little.

Only if there's excess heat and/or smoke in that area.

Gas for sure!

The efficiency ratings on gas fireplaces are starting to get up into the same range as furnaces now, so it's not like the old ones where all of the heat goes up the chimney.

By the way, that is direct-vent fireplaces I'm speaking of. not vent-free ones. Those are totally useless as a heating appliance and the efficiency is terrible. Not to mention the products of combustion you are breathing with those things. Direct vent units use a sealed combustion chamber to keep the products of combustion out of your home. Most direct vent units will have optional blower fans that help circulate the heated air and further increase your heating "bang for the buck"
